Welcome Home, Jessica!
My sister-in-law came home last summer after serving an LDS mission in Lubbock, TX. What better idea to have than a Texan themed cake? I actually used this cake as an opportunity to teach my thirteen-year-old daughter about cake decorating. She had so much fun helping me decide which details to put on the cake, and making them. She has more of a natural talent than I do!
It's never too late to say, again: Welcome Home, Jessica!
Jason's 12th Birthday Cake
So, My son is obsessed with all things Jurrasic Park. When Jurrasic World came out, he was literally jumping up and down at the prospect of a new Jurrasic Park movie. I am posting this now as my son is watching Jurrasic World for the umpteenth time. This birthday cake was made last year, right after Jurrasic World came out. Did I say he is obsessed?
Of course, I made his favorite chocolate cake and covered it with a homemade chocolate marshmallow fondant laid across a cream cheese Oreo frosting to give it a bumpy texture for the terrain. I sprayed the fondant with green and gold coloring to make it look more realistic. I couldn't get a very good picture with my phone... but thought it was worth sharing!
